Wanted – motivated product owner
About the role:
FoodChain by Blockchain AB is looking for a product owner with knowledge and deep understanding of
agriculture, processing of agricultural products or food production, and how IT systems support these
activities.
As a product owner, you have direct contact with customers and other stakeholders to collect and interpret
needs and requirements for a backlog, and prioritize this from the perspective of customer value, business value and
technical sustainability. You work in an agile team of developers with responsibility for defining and implementing
the backlog to functionality in the product, and that the development takes place in accordance with product vision and
long-term business plan. You participate at a strategic level in the design and definition of product vision,
roadmap, marketing strategy, together with business development manager, product manager and other
product owners. You also act supportively as a product specialist in the sales process.
We want someone who:
● Has a genuine interest in sustainability issues related to food production
● Has very good communication skills, is responsive and can understand and make yourself understood
among down-to-earth farmers as well as with technical specialists
● Can switch freely between Swedish and English both in speech and in writing
● Is passionate about digitization and agile methods
● Has a relevant college / university education, eg systems scientist, agronomist, civil engineer
● Has experience and knowledge regarding agriculture or food production
● Has experience with the product owner role, project management and business development
● Has an understanding of digital development processes and product development
● Is good at managing expectations
● Is structured and has good prioritization ability
● Is comfortable making complex decisions
● Is motivated and independent
● Is solution-oriented but still meticulous
Your tasks will include (among other things):
● Be a leader for your team
● Lead the work with the product’s vision and development
● Be a link between customers, stakeholders and the development team
● Hold meetings with customers communicate about requirements and needs, both digitally and in person when needed
● Map the customer’s processes
● Develop requirements specifications
● Write user stories
● Prioritize the backlog and make decisions regarding the development
● Observe potential competitors and world situation

About FoodChain by Blockchain:
We work with a unique system that has the opportunity to reshape the world for a sustainable, transparent
food chain with a new level of traceability! The company has been around since 2019 and started as
a project within Vinnova. We are four people working full time in Sweden, with a development team of
about seven people in the Czech Republic. We work closely with IBM and are part of IBM’s accelerator program. Our
first commercial system will be launched in the spring / summer of 2022. Our customers can be found all troughout
the food chain, mainly farmers and processors. Our vision is that the organization will grow to about 10
full-time employees in Sweden in 2023. Our market and goals are global.
