The Swedish government is looking to increase Swedish food exports of value-added and organic products. Part of this work is to make it possible for Swedish companies to present their products at the world’s largest trade fair for sustainable products, Grüne Woche in Berlin at the end of January 2022. About 20 companies participate in the Swedish stand.
In connection with the start-up meeting for the participants in Gothenburg, FCB’s CEO Cecilia Ryegård was invited as a speaker to talk about the importance of being able to present their added value for increased export opportunities. Cecilia spoke about her experiences, partly as an expert in the organic market in Sweden and Europe, but also based on the opportunities that Foodchain by Blockchain provides in the form of opportunities for full traceability, storytelling and reduced administrative burden for farmers and processing companies.
– This is what we have been waiting and looking for for a long time! A system that can both handle the enormous administrative work required and at the same time help us communicate with the end consumer and explain our higher price compared to a regular jar of spices at ICA, said Cherztin Persåkre, Österlenkryddor.
